Track Name: What Tomorrow Will Bring
"What Tomorrow Will Bring"

When I wake up in the morning, I wonder what I'll find
Just another new day dawning or just the end of time
And will you still be here beside me, I can't help but think of these things
When I wonder what tomorrow will bring

There's a man on the corner with a cup out in his hand
It's a kinder gentler America that has helped him understand
Thant's he's free to stand there in the cold with the hunger blues he sings
And I wonder what tomorrow will bring

The whole word's getting warmer now or so some people say
But we don't wanna believe them if it means we gotta change our ways
So we close our eyes and keep on walking and pretend we don't see a thing
And I wonder what tomorrow will bring

And you know the time will come when we must reap what we sow
And there's a price that we will pay for messing with things we don't know
And everyday I sit here I just can't help wondering
What tomorrow will bring'

The ground's shaking beneath me, is it an earthquake or a bomb
Or just another broken promise of better things to come
Oh won't you stay with me tonight girl, I just can't face all of our sins
And I wonder what tomorrow will bring
And I wonder what tomorrow will bring
Track Name: How I Wish
"How I Wish"

I'd like to find the fool who said a broken heart will always mend with time
Cause I'm searching for tomorrow but it's always yesterday that I find

And now I don't know what to do
All I think about is you
And how you swore that you were mine
It was just another lie
Oh how I wish that you would die

I try to fight the urge to go out walking past your window late at night
Afraid of seeing something I don't really want to see through those blinds

And now I don't know what to do
All I think about is you
Wrapped around some other guy
After all I've been denied
Oh how I wish that you would die

I sit here with my brush and canvass painting over memories of you
What started out in crimson has now slowly turned a deep shade of blue

And now I don't know what to think
So I pour another drink
And tell myself that I feel fine
But it's just another lie
Oh how I wish that I would die, die, die, die, die!
Track Name: I Never Thought
"I Never Thought"

I'm hanging on the corner with the local boys
Laughing and joking, making all this noise
Crackin' open a beer I bum a cigarette
I think I better warn you I'm taking all bets
On winter coming early I can feel it in my bones
The fall has come and gone and left us out in the cold
Now the bookies are posting odds on us today
How many will make it?
I never thought I'd end up this way

Now I'm way down here inside my cardboard box
Oh what I wouldn't give for just one pair of socks
That are not so holey that they bring me to my knees
Believe me I'm not praying, I'm begging you please
Send down another beer or one more cigarette
You call it charity, I call it my last request
For a chance at happiness today
You gotta believe me
It was never meant to be this way

Way down at the end of this abandoned street
That's me walking 'round with no shoes on my feet
Sometime it feels like winter twelve months a year
When you're so isolated nobody comes near
And far, far away in that black limousine
There's a New World king and his society queen
I watch the lights change as they slowly pull away
I'm thinking to myself
I never thought I'd end up this way
Track Name: Someone Like Me
"Someone Like Me"

There's always an angel calling your name
There's always somebody else to blame
There's always someone like me

There always a tear at will in your eye
You pull that trigger whenever you lie
Aiming at someone like me

Someone like me, down on his knees
Someone like me, so eager to please

There's always an answer to questions unasked
There's always someone to forgive the past
There's always someone like me

Someone like me, down on his knees
Someone like me, so eager to bleed
Track Name: Salt on the Wound
"Salt on the Wound"

They say old soldiers never die
They go to a special place in the sky
But then don't suicide bombers too
How is one supposed to know what's true
When everyone wants a shiny medal on their chest
And a glorious epitaph upon their tomb
For pouring salt on the wound

The black man stands up for his right
To walk the streets safely at night
But when the police show on the scene
They beat him back down to his knees
Cause everyone wants a shiny medal on their chest
And a glorious epitaph upon their tomb
For pouring salt on the wound

In the land of the free and in the home of the brave
Liberty simply means that injustice rules the day

And now the homeless search for food
While the rich fly to the moon
And cleanse their dirty blood-stained hands
With another generous donation
Cause everyone wants a shiny medal on their chest
And a glorious epitaph upon their tomb
For pouring salt on the wound
For pouring salt on the wound

That's what they do
They pour salt on the wound
Track Name: Razor's Edge
"Razor's Ege"

I might be walking on a thin line
But I'm sure not walking straight
I'd tried to leave something behind me
Maybe I left it a bit too late
Can't seem to get my head on straight
Don't always feel like getting out of bed

And I'm walking on a razor's edge
I'm walking on a razor's edge

There's a world I'd like to wash away
But I've nothing to replace it with
So I pour myself another drink
So I don't have to face it
I've spoken words that I thought I meant
But no one listened to a word I said

And I'm walking on a razor's edge
I'm walking on a razor's edge

There's something that we should have
Something to make the whole damn world laugh

Tell me what's wrong with this picture
I'd like to turn the world upside down
Do you think that that would fix it
To make a smile out of a frown
I can't seem to find a how-to book
To organize the chaos in my head

And I'm walking on a razor's edge
I'm walking on a razor's edge
Track Name: Daddy's Little Girl
"Daddy's Little Girl"

Marching through the streets in her combat boots
She's looking like someone with something to prove
Dancing to the rhythm of a different beat
She wears her attitude on her feet
You'll never see her in a pretty pink dress
Cause that'll never get her any respect
She says her daddy never gave her a chance
If I were you I wouldn't ask that girl to dance

Cause she ain't gonna be daddy's little girl
No more, no more
No she ain't gonna be daddy's little girl

Marching through the streets with a chip on her shoulder
Cause daddy doesn't want her to get any older
She's out to prove she can do her own thing
By getting out from under daddy's wing
She's trying hard to put the past behind her
But it's got a way of coming back to find her
Memories of the girl she used to be
When will everybody finally see

That she ain't gonna be daddy's little girl
No more, no more
No she ain't gonna be daddy's little girl

Marching through the streets looking for a revolution
Or any other kind of solution
She says she ain't never, ever going back
She'll never let him see all the strength she lacks

Cause she ain't gonna be daddy's little girl
No more, no more
No she ain't gonna be daddy's little girl
No more, no more
Track Name: Pack of Lies
"Pack of Lies"

You black-eyed blue-haired fantasy mongers acting like the fool
Don't you hear them laughing at you breaking all their rules
You say there ain't no stopping now, there ain't no turning back
You say you like the taste of freedom, at least the little ... you've had

You sad-eyed lost and lonely angels hiding from this world
Don't you let them tie you down, don't let them break your will
It's time to strut your stuff now, time to play by your own rules
It's time to say you've had enough, don't let them play you ... for the fool

You four-eyed ragtop wisdom seekers running 'round this world
Don't let them tell you anything you haven't learned yourself
Just take a chance on living, take a giant step for humankind
And don't just take what their giving, you know it's all ... a pack of lies
Track Name: Another World
"Another World"

Show me a world of wisdom, a world not living just to die
Show me a world of laughter, a world not crying all the time

Won't someone show me, someone please show me
what that world's like
Won't someone show me, someone please show me
what that world's like

Show me a world of passion, a world where eyes are burning bright
Show me some indication of a world that cares what's right

Won't someone show me, someone please show me
what that world's like
Won't someone show me, someone please show me
what that world's like

Show me a world of justice, a world not ruled by military might
Show my love and understanding and not this world full of hatred and spite

Won't someone show me, someone please show me
what that world's like
Won't someone show me, someone please show me
what that world's like
Track Name: Desperate Man
"Desperate Man"

I reached into my pocket searching for a dollar
Only to find it empty again
It makes me wanna grab the whole word by the collar
and say

Don't you see that you're staring into the eyes of a desperate man
You're staring into the eyes of desperate man

They changed all the locks, took away my home
For reasons I don't understand
Now I feel like a king who's been dethroned

Don't you see that you're staring into the eyes of a desperate man
You're staring into the eyes of desperate man

A man with a gun came to me last night
Said give me all your money while you still can
But all I did was laugh when I heard him cry out

Don't you see that you're staring into the eyes of a desperate man
You're staring into the eyes of desperate man

I'm a desperate man
I'm a desperate man
